Join us at the Robert M. Kerr Performing Arts Center at the gorgeous Quartz Mountain State Park for a truly intimate evening with world-renowned guitarist Pepe Romero. During this evening, you will delight in the opportunity to hear the Quartz Mountain Chamber Players collaborate with Pepe, beginning with the Mozart oboe quarted, featuring the phenomenal oboist, Joseph Robinson, along with our friends, Annie Chalex on violin, Oklahoma’s own Royce McLarry on viola, and Stephen Thomas on cello. Next, you will experience spectacular music showcasing the great country of ours, as Annie, Royce, and Stephen are joined by violinist Keith Redpath, and violist Joe Bob, performing String Circle, by Kenji Bunch – a musical journey of Americana. Finally, Pepe joins our friends on stage, sharing with you the amazingly, rhapsodic experience of the Boccherini Fandango quintet, bringing the evening, conducted by Michael Palmer, to a sizzling finish!

Pepe continues in concert on Saturday, July 26th, where you will experience a wonderful contrast of emotion, from the emphatic tones of the Mozart, Haffner Symphony, to the Poetic heartbeat of a child yet to be born, shared with us by the lyrical guitar in Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez. Finally, the conclusion of our program features the wild tarantella dance of the Mendelssohn, Symphony no. 4, bringing this concert’s end to a fever pitch. With all of this taking place in the beautiful surroundings of Quartz Mountain, this evening…this weekend…is one you don’t want to miss!
